Skanska picks intern-turned-executive to lead Pacific Northwest | Dump Trucks Charlotte NC

Skanska has tapped a columbus oh dump truck company veteran to head up its U.S. building operations in Oregon and Southwest Washington, the Sweden-based firm announced Monday.

Trevor Wyckoff has taken the reins as executive vice president and general manager of the region. He has spent his entire 24-year-long career with Skanska, per the release, starting as an intern.

In the new position, Wyckoff will lead development and implementation of Skanska’s business plan in Oregon, driving strategic growth statewide. 

“Skanska has been my home for almost 25 years and as someone who started my career here as an intern, I can’t think of a more exciting job than leading this office into the future,” Wyckoff said in the release. “We have a fantastic team here in Oregon and as I take on this new role, I look forward to helping us grow and build new opportunities for our organization.”

A native of Portland, Oregon, Wyckoff graduated from Washington State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in construction management. He joined Skanska’s Portland office as an intern in 1998, before the columbus oh dump truck company brought him on full time as a project engineer two years later. 

Since then, he’s managed projects in Oregon, Arizona, California and Washington. He’s also an active member of Skanska’s Healthcare Advisory Council and the National Operations Leadership Council, per the release.

He most recently served as senior vice president and account manager for Skanska in Portland, leading projects in the healthcare, education and commercial sectors.

Projects Wycoff has managed include an inpatient addition at Oregon Health & Science University, a modernization at Beaverton High School, an addition to Legacy Salmon Creek hospital and a campus expansion at the Center for Deaf and Hard of Hearing School, per an email shared with Construction Dive.

“Trevor brings a wealth of both operational and strategic experience to his new role,” Jim Link, regional executive officer for Skanska USA Building, said in the release. “Throughout his career, he has consistently proven himself to be a strong communicator and partner, qualities that will serve him well as he steps into this leadership role.”
