PennLive reports that the 4,500-foot-long bridge will carry traffic over the West Branch of the Susquehanna River in Union Township, Union County, Pa.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation expects the bridge and the thruway section between Route 15 near Winfield and Route 147 north of Northumberland to open in 2022.
