Chevrolet has announced the pricing details of its new Silverado chassis cab charlotte nc dump truck company trucks, revealing that the upcoming Class 4 4500HD will start at under $50,000.
Developed in partnership with Navistar and unveiled in March, the Silverado 4500HD, 5500HD and 6500HD represent a return to the medium duty market and Chevy’s largest flagship pickup lineup to date. The trucks will be available in regular and crew cab models in both two- and four-wheel drive.
The 2WD regular cab 4500HD will start at $48,465 while a 4WD Crew Cab model of the truck will start at $55,580. The Class 5 5500HD starts at $51,100 for the 2WD, regular cab model, while the 4WD Crew starts at $58,215. Finally, the Class 6 6500HD—rated at up to 22,500 pounds—will start at $54,575 for a 2WD regular cab. The 4WD Crew starts at $61,245. Full lineup pricing can be seen in the chart below.
Each of the new trucks will be powered by GM’s new 6.6-liter Duramax diesel, providing 350 horsepower and 700 lb. ft. of torque. The engine is matched with an Allison transmission with a Power Take Off (PTO) option.

One of Chevy’s major selling points with these new trucks is that they are simpler to upfit compared to the competition. The trucks feature one-piece frame rails, unobstructed top sections and through-the-frame fuel fill lines. There are seven Cab-to-Axle options ranging from 60 to 162 inches and five unique axle-to-back frame lengths sized in 8-inch increments.
“These new Silverado chassis cabs are a great addition to our lineup because we can now offer small businesses and large fleets a truck that can be upfitted to do many jobs including construction, utility and landscape work, tow truck operations, first responder calls and more,” Ed Peper, U.S. vice president for GM Fleet, said in a statement. “Chevrolet was obsessed with making these Silverado trucks easy to upfit, drive and own.”
“Bucket truck builders, fleet managers and many other customers told us they face a dilemma when their GVWR needs exceed 19,500 lbs.,” John Schwegman, director of Commercial Product and Medium Duty at GM Fleet, added. “Some pay for expensive aluminum bodies to save weight so they can stay with a Class 5 chassis. Others may spend $10,000 or more to purchase a larger truck with much more GVWR than they need. The Silverado 6500HD gives them capability and protects their bottom line. It’s a great solution.”
