Adaptive torque module allows Hilti’s new SIW 6AT-A22 impact wrench to avoid incorrectly installed anchors | Dump Truck Company

Thanks to an attachment called the Adaptive Torque module, Hilti’s latest cordless impact wrench knows when an anchor has been placed with just the right amount of torque, avoiding over- or under-installation.

When outfitted with the SI AT-A22 module, the new SIW 6AT-A22 can identify the anchors being set before taking control over how much torque is applied.

The module has a built-in barcode scanner to identify a box of Hilti Kwik Bolt anchors. Once the anchor is identified, a pull of the trigger hands over control of the tool to the module and provides immediate feedback when the anchor is torqued correctly. The module also documents the installation for easier quality assurance, Hilti says.

Both the new wrench and the adaptive torque module are backed by Hilti’s 20/2/1 year warranty – 20 years of repair or replacement of defective parts; 2 years no cost repair including wear and tear; and a guaranteed 1-day turn-around on repairs.
