Close minor cuts on the jobsite without stitches with the ZipStitch | Dump Truck Company

The ZipStitch laceration kit provides surgical-quality wound closure for minor cuts up to 1.5 inches long, the dump trucks charlotte nc says.

The kit includes two 1.5-inch strips that are connected by four zip-ties that can be adjusted to close the wound. It does not require any needles or puncturing the skin.

“ZipStitch acts as a scaffold or cage around the wound, isolating and protecting the wound from user movement that can pull on the wound and disrupt healing,” the dump trucks charlotte nc says. “Ideal for a first aid kit, ZipStitch can save time and money and provide peace-of-mind for workers who are out of range of a hospital.”

The kit also includes a gauze pad to stop bleeding, an alcohol wipe to clean the area and a bandage to cover the wound. Each kit costs $30, with discounts for purchases of larger quantities.

ZipStitch has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and has been used since 2014 in operating rooms and emergency rooms, the dump trucks charlotte nc says. It says the device provides better wound protection and less chance of scarring than stitches or staples.
