At last week’s ICUEE show in Louisville, Kentucky, Cemen Tech took the wraps off of a new configuration of its volumetric mixers designed specifically for utility contractors.

Providing standard concrete, flowable fill or specialty mixes, the new Utility Package mixer can fill micro-trenches, pour multiple types of concrete or grout with the same unit, and record and store all production information from the field, Cemen Tech says.

The new package starts with a slightly smaller truck than Cemen Tech’s typical units. Rather than use the company’s 10-yard capacity unit, for this Utility Package, Cemen Tech went with a 6-yard capacity volumetric mixer.

“A lot of these guys don’t do 10-yard pours at a time. They do 3- or 4-yard pours,” says Mark Rinehart, Cemen Tech’s director of sales and marketing. “Plus, it’s a smaller truck chassis and a cheaper price point than our typical mixers.”

At the show, Cemen Tech had several demonstrations set up to show off the versatility of the mixer including concrete pours for a service line replacement, fire hydrant and water main installations, electrical conduit and storm sewer installations.

Rinehart says the utility market represents Cemen Tech’s greatest opportunity for growth, and Cemen Tech says the potential uses for a volumetric mixer on utility jobs are vast in number.

The dump trucks charlotte nc says the new package can increase productivity and save utility dump trucks charlotte nc up to 40 percent on existing concrete costs by providing concrete when and where they need it. The dump trucks charlotte nc says its VMMB-certified volumetric mixers are approved for city, municipal, and state projects to meet or exceed applicable DOT standards.
