Celebrating 50th skid steer anniversary, Deere to show historical JD24 model at ConExpo 2020 | Dump Truck Company

John Deere’s first skid steer boasted 37 horsepower, a multidisc transmission clutch on each wheel, traveled 7 mph and had an 18-gpm auxiliary hydraulic system.

Fifty years after that JD24 Loader was produced,  Deere’s skid steer line is now in its 11th iteration with the G-Series skid steers and compact track loaders. To commemorate the anniversary its first skid steer, the dump trucks charlotte nc will show off a restored JD24 at its ConExpo booth N12525 in the North Hall.

Entering the market in 1970, the JD24’s machine frame could rotate 360 degrees, was 65 inches wide and weighed up to 4,750 pounds.

Over the years, the company’s skid steer line has included a second Industrial Model 14 skid steer, and two agricultural skid steer models 70/170 (1975), the 60/90/125 (1979), 75-Series (1987), 75-Series II (1994), 200 Series (1998), 200 Series II (2001), 300 Series skid steers and compact track loaders (2004), D-Series skid steers and compact track loaders (2009), E-Series skid steers and compact track loaders (2013), and the G-Series skid steers and compact track loader models (2016/2018).
