Case CE says it has updated its entire five machine lineup of N Series backhoes with several updates, including making standard a few features that used to be optional.

Case N Series machines now feature a new Pilot Control hydraulic system. Case says this new hydraulic system provides an operator with more control and precision in critical applications. The system also reduces cab noise.

Case has also made its fuel economy package, which used to be optional, a standard feature. This package includes ECO mode switches for the loader and backhoe functions, Auto Engine Idle, Auto Engine Shutdown and Engine Protection Shutdown, the last of which is a mode that turns the engine off if engine temperature, drivetrain fluid temperature or engine oil pressure go out of the normal operating range.

Case has also made standard a battery disconnect switch and jumpstart terminal.

The N Series drivetrain has been upgraded as well for improved roading and gradability. The new drivetrain also boasts more pushing power under load and greater acceleration around the jobsite, Case says.

The machines also feature adjustable Extendahoe wear pads “for easier maintenance and serviceability while keeping tight tolerances, reducing strain and wear on components,” Case says.

Case has also made the following factory options available on N Series machines:

  • A new LED light option with four front, four rear and two sidelights that are all adjustable to target the task at hand.
  • A bolt on chaff screen that attaches over the standard front grill, protecting the engine compartment and cooling package from finer airborne debris such as straw chaff, grass clippings, leaves or other fine materials.
  • An 18-inch front tire offering (bias ply or radial) and heavy duty front axle option are available on the 580N and 580 Super N models that allows for more float and cushion for a smoother ride and greater tractive effort.
  • New bolt-on front fenders help protect the machine and operator from water, mud, dirt and debris while traveling off-road in rough, muddy terrain.
