Ram unveils 2018 Hydro Blue Sport, a highly noticeable truck | Aggregate, Excavation, Dump Truck Company
Ram says its latest special edition 1500 package is designed to get its owners “noticed…with great visual appeal.
” And the new shade of ‘Hydro Blue’ covering the 2018 1500 Sport this package is named for is certainly attention grabbing.
The Hydro Blue Sport is the third brightly-colored special edition 1500 Ram has released in the last 18 months, joining the Sublime Green and Ignition Orange models. However, the Hydro Blue edition differs from those trucks in that it features a new body-colored Sport grille with black billet inserts and a RAM letter badge.
The truck also features a black-decaled Sport hood and flat black exterior body-side and tailgate badging. The headlamps, too, have been blacked out.
Hydro Blue will be available on Ram 1500 Sport crew cab, short-bed body styles and only 2,000 of these special edition trucks will be manufactured. The truck is only available with the 5.7-liter HEMI V8, though two and four-wheel drive models are available.
Twenty-two inch polished aluminum wheels are standard on the 4×2 models, while 20-inch wheels are standard to the 4×4 truck. Those polished aluminum wheels can be switched out for optional gloss black wheels. Further options include black tubular side steps, chrome wheel-to-wheel side steps, Active Level air suspension, ParkSense and the RamBox storage system. MSRP is $47,455.
