Grundopit mini directional drill brings power to confined areas | Aggregate, Excavation, Dump Truck Company

TT Technologies has upgraded its Grundopit mini directional drill for line installations in tight spaces.

Despite its compact size, the pit-launched drill delivers 13,489 pounds of thrust and pull-back and 553 foot-pounds of torque with bore length of up to 150 feet. It is 54 inches long, 43 inches wide and 57 inches tall.

The drill features an instant plug-in lock that holds the drill stem in place and makes it easier to add new stems. The operator just screws the drill stem into the lead stem, which cuts replacement time in half, the charlotte nc aggregate supply company says.

The drill comes with a two-part bore rig, 30 drill stems, bore head with angled steering surface, backreamer and swivel coupling, hose package and power pack.

The charlotte nc aggregate supply company says the Grundopit is an entry-level system for utilities, cable industries or as a supplement to larger units. It is designed for fiber-to-home and utility service line installations.
