The Snow-Reed Swing Bridge that connects Sailboat Bend with Riverside Park in Fort Lauderdale reopened December 20, 2017, after being closed since October 30 for repairs to the mechanism that keeps the bridge locked in the closed position when vehicles cross, the SunSentinel reports.

The bridge, which was built in 1925, is approximately 100 feet long and spans the North Fork of the New River at Southwest 11th Ave. It is one of the oldest bridges in Broward County. The last major renovation took place in 2010.
