Hilti DD-WMS 100 water-plus-vacuum system eliminates concrete drilling dust all day using just 4 gallons of water | Aggregate, Excavation, Dump Truck Company

Water Management System

Now that OSHA is regulating silica dust on jobsites, you need to have a solution when cutting or drilling concrete.

Hilti’s new DD-WMS 100 Water Management System, introduced at the World of Concrete, keeps this dust suppression activity clean and simple when drilling—especially since you don’t have to flood the jobsite with water. The DD-WMS 100 is a water-actuated vacuum system that works with all Hilti diamond drilling rigs. To operate, you fill the water tank, connect your tool and start drilling.

In the water supply mode, the DD-WMS 100 provides a steady stream of pressurized water to the drill hole and then vacuums away the dust as a slurry while you’re drilling. Multi-layer filter bags enable you to reuse the water up to seven times, which gives the four gallons contained in the unit, the same dust suppression power as 30 gallons of continuous water.

According to Hilti the unit will give you enough water to keep your drilling site dust free for a full day. The DD-WMS 100 can also be switched to a vacuum cleaning mode for the final cleanup of the day.
