“The city and IndyGo, our public transit agency in Indianapolis, are building the first bus rapid transit project here,” Canfield says. “The red line BRT project is going to run from the University of Indianapolis, on the south side, up through downtown, and then into Broad Ripple. It’s the first of many different lines that they want to build in the city, and this will be dedicated buses that will run every 10 minutes or so to provide service from the south side through downtown to the north side and Broad Ripple. It’s a $25-million federal grant.”
