Total construction spending in Minneapolis area expected to decline by 6% this year

“Our backlog is pretty strong for next year, so, timeline wise, everyone is saying we should be near the end of the [growth] cycle, but people are still asking for our services, so we are cautiously optimistic.,” Ryan says.

“The number one market, by a significant clip, is the multifamily residential market. Number two is that there is a very intense industrial building environment going on, so lots of projects in that world. Office is a little cooler. There’s the occasional big consolidation or corporate project that gets done [such as] an expansion to a headquarters.”
