Gilbane Set to Win Big Foxconn Flat-Screen Plant in Wisconsin | Columbus Ohio Dump Truck, Aggregate, Excavation Company

According to several sources close to the project, Rhode Island-based Gilbane Building Co. has been chosen as general contractor for the 22-million-sq-ft, $10-billion flat-screen-panel manufacturing campus to be built by Taiwanese electronics maker Foxconn in Mt.

Pleasant, Wis. Gilbane, which has a large office in Milwaukee, has led several large Wisconsin projects in the past few years, including the recently completed Northwestern Mutual Tower and Commons, with CG Schmidt. Foxconn and state officials did not say when the selection will be announced, but they hope to begin construction on the first buildings this spring.
