Horwitz, a New Hope, Minn., provider of design-build mechanical and plumbing services, has named President Matt Dekkers to the added role of CEO. Joining the firm last year, he also is a board director of the Associated General Contractors of Minnesota. Dekkers succeeds Bill McKoskey, who will retire in November. The firm also promoted Todd Matelski to vice president of preconstruction, and Eric Olson was elevated to vice president of construction operations and Sam Augspurger was named preconstruction manager.

Chicago-based construction services firm The Walsh Group has promoted Duane Petersen to president of its national water division and named him to the corporate executive committee. He was the unit’s chief operations officer and also vice president of Southeast water operations. Petersen succeeds Roy Epps, who will remain in a senior advisory role at the firm and will be executive sponsor of its leadership initiative program.

Diane Grossenheider has joined McCarthy Building Cos. as a senior business development manager for its St. Louis-based region. She has nearly two decades of experience in project management and new business development.

H.W. Lochner Inc., an infrastructure planning and engineering firm, has hired Chris Sacks as vice president of corporate development. He will play a leading role in the firm’s mergers and acquisition process. He was investment director for Re:Build Manufacturing, a domestically focused industrial technology business network and also had been a private equity associate at Guardian Capital Partners.

Matt Bonanno has been named assistant vice president of HRG, an infrastructure consultant operating in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Currently its practice area leader for civil and municipal engineering services, he expands his role to include all firm service offerings and management of its largest office in Harrisburg, Pa. Bonanno succeeds Ed Ellinger, who recently became CEO.

Karen Bridbord has been named Alberici Corp. chief talent officer to shape its workforce development strategy, including talent selection, succession planning and employee wellness, the firm said. She remains in her role as founder and owner of consultant Karen Bridbord & Associates.

McCarthy Holdings Inc. has promoted Joe Jouvenal to chief operating officer. He will oversee operations for the firm and its subsidiaries and also manage the corporate human resources, quality and safety departments. In the role, Jouvenal replaces Scott Wittkop, who also is president and retires in April.

Jeff Krusinski, president of Krusinski Construction Co., Oak Brook, Ill., is taking the added role of CEO. He succeeds Joe Krusinski Sr., who is now chairman emeritus. Jerry Krusinski has been named executive chairman. Joe Krusinski Sr. has been an officer and director of the Chicago Building Congress and the Chicagoland Construction Safety Council.
