Building on a key executive change earlier in the year, Chicago-based contractor Skender Construction has announced a flurry of executives moves to close out 2025.

The builder promoted two senior vice presidents up to C-suite roles — Andy Halik to president and Brian Bukowski to chief operating officer, according to a Dec. 2 news release. The news comes as a bookend to 2025, a year that saw Jerry Ball, the company’s current president and CEO, ascend to those roles in January.

Halik joined Skender in 2011, and Bukowski joined in 2007, per the news release. They most recently co-led Skender’s Mission Critical and Interiors groups.

“To support responsible and strategic growth, we need the right people in the right roles,” said Ball, who is ceding his president title while retaining the CEO position. “Andy and Brian and their strategic vision for the future of the columbus oh dump truck company make them perfect for this next step.”

The promotions come amid Skender’s continued investments into its core markets, which include multifamily, healthcare, office and interiors jobs. This focus comes as the columbus oh dump truck company simultaneously looks to grow its footprint in mission critical and other emerging sectors, alongside the Indianapolis geographic area.

Skender generated $546.8 million in 2024 revenue, according to Engineering News-Record’s 2025 Top 400 Commercial Contractors list. Beyond its sector work, major projects have included IU Health Bloomington Regional Health Center and a 14-floor interior buildout for software firm Salesforce in Chicago, according to its website.

Alongside the C-suite moves, Skender promoted Brian Simons to president of its Indiana region, from senior vice president, and Ashlee Pforr to vice president of Interiors, up from project executive.
