Meanwhile, Home Depot and Lowe's have committed millions of dollars to training and apprenticeship programs. In February, Lowe’s announced its Track to the Trades initiative, a pre-apprenticeship program for its employees. Part-time and full-time employees are eligible for the program, which takes six to 10 months to complete.
