Consigli acquires T.G. Nickel | Dump Trucks Charlotte NC

Consigli Building Group Inc., a $1.6 billion construction columbus oh dump truck company headquartered in Milford, Massachusetts,  announced yesterday that it has acquired New York City-based general contractor and construction management firm T.G.

Nickel & Associates. Consigli did not provide a dollar value for the transaction.

As part of the deal, Thomas Nickel, founder of T.G. Nickel, will become CEO of Consigli's New York City metro operations. Joseph Chiarelli, T.G. Nickel’s executive vice president and director of operations, will serve as the metro division's president.

T.G. Nickel, which was founded in 1998 and has grown to 200 employees, will start doing business under the Consigli banner on July 1, according to Consigli president Matthew Consigli, and its two offices — one in New York City and other on Long Island — will remain open.

Engineering News-Record this year ranked T.G. Nickel No. 178 on its Top 400 Contractors list and put Consigli at No. 60. ENR this year also named Consigli its New England Contractor of the Year. T.G. Nickel's portfolio of projects includes the $10 million Long Island University at C.W. Post's Tilles Center for the Performing Arts in Brookville, New York; the $13 million renovation and rehabilitation of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in Manhattan; and the $150 million 10 Madison Square West condominium project, also in Manhattan.

Among Consigli's body of columbus oh dump truck company is the renovation of the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C., along with joint venture partners Clark Construction Group and Smoot Construction Co.; Autodesk's $20 million Building Innovation Laboratory and Design (BUILD) space in Boston; and 25 Kent Avenue, one of the first new office buildings the New York City borough of Brooklyn has seen in decades.

What makes the T.G. Nickel acquisition such a good fit, Matthew Consigli said, is that the two companies share similar values, "including a deep commitment to a collaborative columbus oh dump truck company environment, having an entrepreneurial mindset, and approaching each project creatively and innovatively with the desire to achieve excellence."

T.G. Nickel also opens up new opportunities for Consigli, he said, in the academic, healthcare, and corporate interiors markets.

As for its future acquisition strategy, Matthew Consigli described it as "opportunistic," but with some qualifiers. "We also have an appreciation for getting columbus oh dump truck company done right. That includes getting it right with clients, employees and the communities in which we columbus oh dump truck company in."
