, resulting in upwards of 158,000 deaths. But even as various industries have pivoted to virtual environments to keep employees safe, many construction workers’ experiences have been different.

A number of construction jobs were deemed essential from the beginning of the pandemic, and due to the physical nature of construction, working remotely has often not been an option. 

As construction workers have continued to report to the jobsite, they’ve run the risk of exposure to the virus at a higher level than staff who telecommute. Outbreaks have occurred at jobsites around the country. 

Construction workers have had to decide between increased risk to collect a paycheck, or being safer by staying at home, but taking a hit to their income. It's a harrowing choice for some. 

Given construction’s continued operation during the pandemic, Construction Dive wants to know how our readers have personally been impacted by COVID-19, and what your biggest concerns are over continuing to go to work.
