Construction Dive survey: Are you vaccinated? | Dump Trucks Charlotte NC

In April, as COVID-19 vaccines became available to a large portion of the U.S. population, Construction Dive asked its readers whether they would be getting the shots.

At that time, 46% of respondents who had not yet been vaccinated said they had no plans to get one. This was in line with other surveys that found that construction workers are fourth from last in vaccine willingness among all industries.

Their reasons for hesitancy were many, respondents said, and ranged from those who don't think they need to be inoculated to others who said they believe it presents a health risk.

Nevertheless, in recent weeks coronavirus cases have climbed in each state as the delta variant rages through certain areas of the country, especially those with low vaccination rates. In most states, about 95% of those hospitalized with coronavirus are unvaccinated.

Construction Dive wants to know how these increased numbers are affecting jobsites and whether unvaccinated construction pros are reconsidering their decision. Answer our quick survey and have your voice heard. Results will be published next week.
