MSG Sphere crews install support for world's highest resolution LED screen | Dump Trucks Charlotte NC

• Construction crews installed in February the central section of steel that will support the highest resolution LED screen in the world, the interior display of MSG Sphere.
• Once the entire steel framework is complete later this year, it will weigh approximately 730 tons, support the 160,000 square foot LED screen and house a 170,000 speaker multi-layered audio system. 
• MSG Sphere at The Venetian will be the largest spherical structure in the world at 366-feet tall and 516-feet wide once complete in the second half of 2023. The venue will have a capacity of approximately 17,500 seats, expandable to 20,000 with standing room.

The central section of the display's support steel, dubbed the "mohawk" for its narrow, arched shape, rises 240 feet above the venue floor and reaches behind the seating area. 

There has also been significant progress on MSG Sphere's exterior exosphere, which will surround the venue to create the 160,000 square foot LED screen, larger than the size of three football fields. 

The screen is more than three times larger than the 51,000 square foot LED screen at TSX Broadway, a massive $2.5 billion project in New York.

The project team has built the widest expanse of the exosphere, which spans 516 feet in diameter. It's now placing the upper sections where the Sphere begins to taper in towards its pinnacle. 

The exosphere will stand at 366-feet-tall, more than 80 feet higher than the top of the venue today. It will then be covered with approximately 580,000 square feet of fully programmable lighting.

Inside the venue, visitors will experience an advanced acoustics system that uses a variety of different sonic technologies, including beamforming. This means two people, sitting in different seat sections, could theoretically hear completely different sounds. 

An infrasound haptic system also will use deep vibrations so guests can feel the audio as well, with bass pumping through the flooring system.  

MSG Sphere is adjacent to The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas, and will feature a pedestrian bridge that will connect the venue to the Venetian's Expo Center. 

The project is expected to open in the second half of 2023.
