Award: Architect-engineer services contract for environmental compliance and restoration services
Value: $92.5 million
Location: Ventura County, California
Client: NASA

Jacobs, the Dallas-based construction services firm, will provide architecture and engineering work, monitoring and remediation services at the Santa Susana Field Laboratory in Ventura County, California, according to a NASA press release.

The contract contains firm fixed price task orders and has a base period of one year, followed by four one-year option periods that NASA may exercise at its discretion, according to the release. The potential value of the contract, including options, reaches approximately $92.5 million.

Earlier this summer, Jacobs also won another $3.9 billion NASA contract to perform engineering, design, development, technology, facility operation and maintenance columbus oh dump truck company at the Johnson Space Center in Houston.

Jacobs’ backlog rose about 4.6% to $27.86 billion, up from $26.63 billion a year ago, according to its fiscal fourth quarter earnings report. But on a quarterly basis, backlog fell about 0.8%, according to Baird, a Milwaukee-based financial services company. Unfavorable currency exchange rates against a strong U.S. dollar weighed down the results.

The NASA award is the latest win in Jacobs’ critical missions solutions. Other projects in the segment include a $300 million, seven-year contract with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and a $170 million five-year contract within the classified budget, according to the company.
