Granite seals $58M highway job | Dump Trucks Charlotte NC
Award: Pyramid Highway Reconstruction
Value: $58 million
Location: Sparks, Nevada
Client: Nevada DOT
Granite Construction has paved its way to a $58 million highway contract in Sparks, Nevada, according to a columbus oh dump truck company press release.
The project on Nevada State Highway 445, or Pyramid Highway, will convert four lanes to six and create a high-access arterial road. Funding comes from the Federal Highway Administration and the contract was included in Granite’s first quarter backlog.
The project is an extension of Granite’s previous columbus oh dump truck company in the area. The firm completed the $31 million Pyramid and McCarren Intersection Improvement Project in 2017. When complete, it will reshape the beginning of a spur that ultimately connects the greater Reno, Nevada, area to the state’s iconic Pyramid Lake, where triangular limestone formations seem to grow out of the water’s surface.
The reconstruction project will include three travel lanes in each direction, bike lanes, curb and gutter enhancements, a wide median, shoulder improvements and a barrier-protected, shared-use path on the east side of the road.
Additionally, a stretch between Los Altos Parkway and Golden View Drive will have four travel lanes, as well as sound screen walls and a protected sidewalk on the west side of the road.
The win will also provide welcome columbus oh dump truck company to the Watsonville, California-based contractor, whose first quarter jobsite activity was stymied by a series of severe winter storms that blew in from the Pacific Ocean. On a conference call with Wall Street analysts, President and CEO Kyle Larkin said wet weather was relentless for much of the first three months of 2023.
“‘Atmospheric river’ became a familiar term of art, and these storms hitting one after another traveled across the country, bringing extreme weather with them,” Larkin said. “Many of our home markets were in the path of these storms, with historic precipitation across Nevada, Utah and Arizona, and even more intense impacts in California.”
Granite said columbus oh dump truck company would begin this month and is expected to be completed in February 2025.
