  • Bethesda, Maryland-based contractor Clark Construction announced it has opened a new office in Richmond, Virginia, in an effort to expand its presence and signal its commitment to the construction market there.
  • The 4,800-square-foot office, designed by Richmond-based Two Street Studio, is located near the city’s Scott’s Addition historic district. The contractor has also delivered data center projects in the region in the past; after all, Reston, Virginia, is part of “Data Center Alley.”

“Richmond continues to see significant growth and investment, particularly in the mission critical, advanced manufacturing and life science market sectors,” said Shaw. 

Still, Clark, like the rest of the construction industry, feels the labor gap. Shaw hopes a presence in Richmond will help address that.

“There continues to be a need for construction labor and Clark is actively investing within the community by collaborating with the region’s workforce development education programs to boost skilled trades within the region,” he said.
