Skanska USA Building announces shakeup in regional leadership | Dump Trucks Charlotte NC

Skanska USA Building, the construction arm of the Sweden-based contractor, has announced a shakeup to senior executives on the East Coast.

After 17 years at the company, Regional Executive Officer Bryant Farland has stepped down, according to a Skanska release, to pursue a new opportunity. According to his LinkedIn, Farland is now the CEO of Edged, a New York-based information technology consulting firm.

Effective immediately, Kerim Evin, Anita Nelson and Greg Peele will assume REO roles overseeing regions in the eastern U.S.

“It is with mixed emotions that I share Bryant is leaving Skanska to pursue a new venture,” Paul Hewins, president and CEO of Skanska USA Building, said in the release. “We are fortunate however, to have a strong leadership bench at Skanska. Kerim, Anita and Greg will bring valuable new perspective to these roles, help build on our success to date, and guide us into the future.”

Evin, who joined Skanska in 1996 as a senior project manager, has stepped into a new REO role for New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and Connecticut. He has served as the REO for the New England and Southeast region for the past five years. 

Nelson, Skanska’s chief strategy officer since 2019, will keep that role while also becoming REO for Skanska’s Integrated Solutions team. In her new joint role, Nelson will align SIS operations and the company’s overall U.S. building strategy.

Peele, who joined Skanska in 2000, has been promoted to REO for the Southeast and Central regions, which include Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and Ohio. He has served as executive vice president and general manager for the North Carolina and Virginia regions for the last eight years.
