Mycon promotes 2 to vice president | Dump Trucks Charlotte NC

Mycon General Contractors has promoted Jason Meuth and Chip Myers to vice president, the Dallas-based firm recently announced. The commercial contractor, which is No. 204 on the most recent ENR Top 400 list, specializes in healthcare, industrial and institutional to office, retail, religious, manufacturing and food processing projects.

In the new role, Meuth will focus on the retail market, find new opportunities and maintain client relationships, per the release, while Myers will focus on the company’s strategic leadership, its Southeast expansion based in Nashville, Tennessee, and developing business units around automation and robotics. 

Meuth previously held the role of project director with heavy involvement in Mycon’s retail projects, and has been with the columbus oh dump truck company for over a decade in operations and business development.

He was instrumental in growing the firm’s retail sector and will continue to build the retail market outside of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, according to the release. He has also been an integral part of maintaining the company’s relationships with self-storage clients and will focus on expansion in the self-storage space.

Meuth received his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University in Construction Science before joining Mycon in 2013. Prior to his time at the company, Meuth served in the United States Air Force.

Myers charged with expansion

Chip Myers, son of founder and CEO Charles Myers, officially joined Mycon in 2016 as a project engineer, and most recently served as partner and project director. He is involved in the strategic leadership of the company, as well as Mycon’s Southeast expansion.

One of Myers’ main goals is to create synergy between business in the company’s new Nashville office and its self-storage and retail sector, led by Meuth. He will also undertake a greater responsibility for acquiring new clients and jobs.

Myers received his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University in Construction Science with a minor in Business.
