WSP names Texas transportation leader | Dump Trucks Charlotte NC
WSP has named Stephanie Messerli as Texas transportation leader and a senior vice president, the Montreal-based infrastructure giant announced on Aug. 22.
In her new role, Messerli will manage operations, oversee project delivery and grow and diversify the firm’s multidisciplinary transportation portfolio in Texas. She has worked for WSP for about a year and supported the Texas DOT I-35 Capital Express Central Downtown project.
Messerli brings nearly 30 years of experience in planning, design, program management and public involvement for transportation projects. Previously she was with Dallas-based Jacobs for more than 23 years, most recently as a program management director, where she managed large-scale planning and design projects in Central Texas.
Her experience in Texas projects runs deep: Messerli has supported large-scale builds for the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority, City of Austin, Travis County, Williamson County, Hays County and the Alamo Regional Mobility Authority, among others. She also serves on Austin’s Transit Forward board and has held several leadership positions for WTS International, an organization that promotes women in the transportation industry.
“Stephanie is uniquely suited to lead our Texas transportation team,” said Arpit Talati, WSP USA Texas Southwest District lead, in the release. “She will enhance WSP’s technical excellence and capacity to continue to design and deliver amazing projects across the Lone Star State.”
Messerli has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Nebraska as well as a master’s degree in regional and city planning from the University of Oklahoma.
