Tracy Hunt, a 26-year columbus oh dump truck company veteran, has taken over as head of Skanska USA Building’s operations in Florida. Hunt’s new role — executive vice president and general manager of the region — became effective Nov. 1, according to a press release.

Hunt began working with Skanska USA in 1997, according to his LinkedIn profile. Prominent projects he’s worked on in Florida include:

• The $187 million, 371,000-square-foot Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute, which opened this summer. 
• The $75 million, 19-acre waterfront development of Coachman Park in Clearwater, which Skanska delivered in June.
• The $242 million, 48,500-square-foot renovation and expansion of Lee Health’s Gulf Coast Medical Center in Fort Myers, delivered in April 2022.

He most recently served as senior vice president and account manager, holding that position since 2018. Hunt also leads Skanska’s mentoring program partnership with the University of South Florida, intended to support diverse small construction businesses in the Tampa Bay area.

Hunt graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
